1. Ala Moana Beach / Magic Island Sunset and Daylight

Just a short 5-10 minutes drive (or even walk) from Waikiki, Magic Island is one of my favorite photography spots near Waikiki—just minutes away but with a completely different vibe. This location offers the perfect blend of lush greenery and beautiful beach views, all in one spot. One of the highlights is the iconic Waikiki Lookout, where you can capture both Diamond Head and the city skyline in a single breathtaking frame. The sunsets here are absolutely stunning, casting warm, golden light over the ocean. Unlike the busy streets of Waikiki, Magic Island is much more peaceful, making it an ideal setting for relaxed and memorable photos.

2. Hilton Lagoon (Sunrise)

Hilton Lagoon is a hidden gem for sunrise photography, just steps from Waikiki but often overlooked. Early in the morning, the lagoon is calm and peaceful, with still waters that reflect the soft pastel colors of the rising sun.
