So, how do I prepare for a surprise proposal photoshoot? There are basically two ways: a completely secret proposal, or a sudden proposal during a photo shoot!

  1. A completely secret proposal

The first way is to do a completely secret proposal! We don’t meet at all and your partner has no idea there’s a photographer around! We will communicated the exact proposal location in advance.

First: Choose a location! A beautiful, perfect location full of Hawaiian spirit!

Because sometimes I hide behind a tree or a rock and use my telephoto lens to take candid pictures. That location must have great soft light! Because I can hardly use flash when i'm hiding!

When you start to get down on one knee, I will jump out! I can't stop pressing the shutter, because every millisecond is the most important moment in your life!

  1. A sudden proposal during a photo shoot

This is a much simpler and more stable proposal option. But it’s still full of surprises! Tell your partner that you booked them a regular travel photoshoot to commemorate your adventure in Hawaii!

During the photo shoot, I'll take you to the perfect spot to propose! We'll decide on a secret sign! Or, I prefer to have the two of you do a back to back pose, so your partner is looking the other way and facing away from you! Now is your chance to get down on one knee and pull out the ring! When you are completely ready, I will tell your partner to turn around! They will definitely be surprised!

The advantage of this plan is that I can guide you more precisely, and I can use lights and props to enrich the photo! It's a much easier and more controlled approach!
